Presenting the Judges
and the course director
My name is George Bonsall
I run a dairy and sheep farm near Stafford. For the last 60 years I have been involved with sheepdogs, training, trialling, judging and working them on the sheep on the farm. I run singles but also enjoy working two dogs in the brace trials. I was runner up twice in the brace for the English nationals. I have been in the English team several times.
I put on nursery, novice and open trials and have also set up and run the 4 nations nursery final.
I have judged numerous trials at all levels including the English National and in Portugal.
Thank you for inviting me to come to Sweden to judge your trial. I am very much looking forward to meeting the handlers and seeing your dogs trialing.
My name is Stuart Davidson and together with my son Craig, we run a farm of 600 Scottish Blackface ewes in Dunoon, Scotland.
I started trialing in the 70s and have since managed to win two International Supreme finals, five Scottish Nationals, two Brace Nationals, one Brace International, One Man and His Dog and represented Scotland at the International 26 times.
I've never been to Sweden before but I'm really looking forward to seeing it and all of the competitors and dogs.
Mikaela Prim has been trailing in the highest level in Sweden since 2009 and has been in the Swedish team a couple of times representing Sweden at the Nordic and CSC. She has been in the Swedish Trial Committee since 2020. She has been breeding Bordercollie since 2003 under the prefix EmenEm. Her Team of dogs is her own breeding and she trains them herself from pups.
